The Introductory Certificate in Counselling focuses on developing counselling skills by providing a solid foundation in the key aspects of the discipline. It introduces students to counselling theories and practice as well as to the ethical and professional context of counselling in the UK.
The programme is suitable for a wide range of students:
Students who wish to develop counselling skills and theoretical understanding to enhance existing job roles;
students who wish to progress to a core practitioner training in counselling such as the Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling at Birmingham Newman University.
