Scholarship information

The University of Manchester is proud to offer more than 100 merit-based undergraduate scholarships of £30,000 (£10,000 per year over three years) to international students from a selection of countries across the globe.

The Global Futures Scholarships for North America are open to applicants domiciled in the USA and Canada.

Please note: the application form will only be made available to you once you've applied for an eligible academic course.

If you apply before the UCAS Equal Consideration Deadline (14 January 2026) you will be sent an application once you've applied. If you apply after this date, you must be holding an offer by 5 March to receive an application form from us.

Each award comprises £10,000 for the first year of study with a further £10,000 awarded in second and third years of study, conditional on attainment of 60% average in each year. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a discount on published overseas tuition fees.

You must be taking one of the following qualifications: Advanced Placements (AP), Dual Enrolment, A-level, IB, US High School Diploma, Canadian High School Diploma.

Scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence, predicted grades and your responses to questions in the online application form, which will be emailed to all eligible applicants and offer-holders.

Awardees will be selected based on academic merit, but we'll try to achieve a balance in the allocation of the awards by gender, domicile, qualification type and course of study.
