Linkou Scholarship

Scholarship information

Mrs Bastable really wanted to train as a veterinary surgeon in the 1930s but had not been allowed to do so. Therefore, she wanted a young person to have the opportunity she was denied. Her bequest set up new scholarships called the 'Linkou Scholarships', named after her favourite Pekingese dog.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an offer holder for either Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine or Accelerated Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, who also meets our widening participation criteria.  Applicants who scored in the top 25 of all applicants throughout the application and interview process are shortlisted before those who meet the highest number of our widening participation criteria are finally shortlisted.  If there is more than one eligible offer holder at that point, they will be invited to complete a written submission which will then be judged, and the final awardee will be selected by our Scholarship Panel.

The allocation process will take place in June.
