Thanks to the generosity of the Ellis family and Exel Computer Holdings Ltd, we are pleased to be able to offer the Dr Pauline Polkey Undergraduate Bursary in memory of Dr Pauline Polkey, a valued and inspirational lecturer at NTU.

The award will support talented students with exceptional academic potential who need help with meeting the costs of studying at university.

These awards are open to applications from students who will be enrolled on an eligible full-time undergraduate course in the 2026/27 academic year (students may be enrolled on any year of an eligible course, excluding a placement or sandwich year).

Each award is worth up to £1,000. The scholarship will be paid as a cash bursary at the start of the academic year.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • be studying an eligible undergraduate course (listed below) in the 2026/27 academic year (students may be enrolled on any year of an eligible course, excluding a placement or sandwich year)
  • have United Kingdom as country of nationality recorded on the course application, and
  • be classed as a Home student for tuition fee purposes.

Preference may be given to those living in disadvantaged areas - including those with low participation in HE - as defined by Office for Students POLAR data.
