The University of Manchester is proud to offer more than 200 merit-based master’s scholarships to prospective international students from a range of countries across the globe.
The value of The Global Futures Scholarships for North American students is £10,000; scholarships will be awarded in the form of a discount on published overseas tuition fees.
Within North America, the awards are open to applicants domiciled in the following countries: Canada and the USA.
Eligibility Criteria
If applying before 14 January 2026, you'll be emailed the application form once an academic application has been made. Scholarship applications must be made by 5 March 2026.
If applying after 14 January 2026, you must hold an offer to study a full-time, on-campus master’s course at The University of Manchester starting in September 2026 and submit an online scholarship application form by 5 March 2026. The application form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders.
Awardees must accept (make firm) an offer to study a full-time, on-campus master’s course starting in September 2026, by 22 May 2026.
You'll be considered for the award based on academic merit and the quality of your application, but we'll try to achieve a balance by gender, domicile and course in the allocation of the awards. Applicants must be self-funded (not sponsored by an external government agency or commercial funder). FAFSA recipients are eligible to apply for this award.
