Surrey/ICE Scholarship

This scheme is a collaboration between the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), our University and a range of leading companies in the civil engineering industry. It is open to many suitable students every year.

We match successful applicants with a suitable company mid-way through their first year. The company provides practical training throughout their course and will fund the scholarship. Students spend the summer vacation after each academic year doing paid training.

The main benefits of this scholarship are:

• A bursary worth £1,950 with salaried training in each year of study
• The chance to integrate industrial training into academic study
• A fast-track route to employment upon graduation and chartered engineer status.

This scholarship is open to students:

• From the UK only
• Studying a foundation year or BEng/MEng Civil Engineering at Surrey
• Who can show a real interest and enthusiasm for civil engineering.
