Whether you want to be writing plays or acting them out, admissions tutors are looking for evidence of your enthusiasm for drama and theatre studies that extends beyond the curriculum, and for your unique personality to come across in your personal statement.

You can study performance-based music, dance, drama, and musical theatre courses at conservatoires in the UK – at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Conservatoires will let you know what you should prepare for an assessment.

The personal statement is your opportunity to talk about you, and why you want to enrol on a particular course. You should describe the ambitions, skills, and experience that’ll make you suitable for the course.
