University of ReadingBSc Ecology & Wildlife ConservationI love everything to do with animals, the outdoors and baking. I plan to become a teacher after i graduate. I can help with any questions about minority backgrounds, including having a disability, being from a low economic background and commuting to University. I also engage with many societies and sports within the university and am happy to help with any queries you may have. Rosie
University of East Anglia UEAEcology and ConservationI'm an aspiring ecologist studying at UEA. I'm really interested in all things to do with wildlife and the outdoors, so I'm loving studying Ecology and Conservation at uni! Adrianna
Bangor UniversityMarine BiologyHi, I'm Adrianna. I'm from North West England. I decided I wanted to do marine biology, when someone did an online talk at my college all about the marine environment and biology. My main hobbies include sewing; gaming; watching films and series; and spending time with friends and family. Some of my favorite games are Animal Crossing; Slime Rancher; and Stardew Valley. Some of my favorite movies/series are: How to Train Your Dragon; Vampire Diaries; Grey's Anatomy; and Disney movies. Alice
University of EssexMarine BiologyHello! 👋 I'm Alice, a student at the University of Essex currently pursuing an integrated masters in Tropical Marine Biology. I'm thrilled to be a part of the Unibuddy community as a Student Ambassador, where I can share my unique journey and experiences with you. Beyond the academic realm, I have a deep passion for invertebrates in the sea, including jellyfish and other odd looking creatures! Extra-curricular activities are where I find balance between academia and fun. Squash, running and scuba diving are sports that I truly enjoy. The thrill of a competitive squash match or the serenity of a long run along the coastline are experiences I cherish. Future Career Plan: As I progress through my academic journey, my ultimate goal is to contribute significantly to the field of marine biology. I aspire to earn a Ph.D., conducting ground-breaking research that sheds light on the complexities of gelatinous animals and their role in marine ecosystems. My vision extends beyond the laboratory; I aim to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and public understanding, advocating for the conservation of our oceans. Join me on this exciting adventure through academia and exploration of the deep sea on Unibuddy! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about marine biology, integrated masters programs, or if you just want to chat about our shared interests. Let's make the most of our academic journey together! 🌊🔬🏃♂️ Alina

Bangor UniversityMarine BiologyHiya, I'm Amandine. I'm a 2nd year student studying marine biology & oceanography at Bangor hoping to work in coral or general conservation projects when i leave. I have just completed a marine conservation internship in the seychelles this summer to improve my diving and to start my conservation journey. Coolest animal ive seen so far: a whale shark! Amy
Bangor UniversityConservationHi, I am currently studying conservation and hope to work in the environment sector focusing on sustainability. I love wildlife and the natural environment so want to protect this for everyone. I've also got a love for animals and have rescued many from donkeys to hens. From a young age I've had a passion for sports, specifically aquatic ones! Georgina
Bangor UniversityMarine BiologyI love being outside and enjoying nature especially whilst doing something active. I also love marine life and could probably talk for hours about them. Kallie
Bangor UniversityMarine BiologyI currently study marine biology, and plan to pursue a career in conservation. I would love to work with a rescue and rehabilitation center as a rescue coordinator and care specialist, or as a diver for conservation and restoration projects around the world. Alongside my coursework, I’m a member of the women’s rugby union. I absolutely love my team, and all the experiences I have through them (like Wednesday night socials)! Sport and society opportunities at Bangor are phenomenal, and I’d love to tell you all about them! We also have a multitude of volunteering opportunities, with truly something for everyone. Bangor can feel quite small, but between uni-sponsored opportunities, third-party events, and living on the doorstep of Eryri, there’s no reason you can’t have a vibrant time here. Megan
Bangor UniversityConservationI’m a Bangor University student studying Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, despite not taking any science A-levels—proof that anything is possible if you follow your passion! My volunteer work at a local Owl sanctuary has sparked a deep interest in birds of prey, especially owls, and I hope to pursue a career in this field. I also manage social media for Greener Gwynedd (a university volunteer group) and volunteer with local wildlife groups, gaining hands-on conservation experience. Outside of uni, I love hiking and exploring the nature around North Wales, listening to music (especially Noah Kahan), reading, and playing video games.
