    Hi everyone :) My name is Jazmine and I am a fifth year integrated masters student studying Education with Primary Teaching Qualification (MEduc) at the University of Glasgow. I am originally Nigerian, but I was born in London and have lived most of my life in Scotland! My hobbies include taking spontaneous day trips, reading books by Nigerian authors (a recent interest), and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting you all :)

    I came from Hong Kong and am pursuing my primary teacher career in Scotland. The University of Glasgow has been very supportive during my studies and provides me with lots of opportunities to take part in a wide range of volunteering activities, e.g. International Mentorship Program, supporting exchange students while they are in Glasgow.

  • Teacher training

    If you’re considering teaching in a UK state school, you’ll need to have a degree, and a recognised teaching qualification. Initial Teacher Education or Training (ITET) programmes across the UK are broadly similar, providing a combination of academic study and time in school, as you learn about key teaching methods. The routes, entry requirements, and statutory teaching standards are different depending on where in the UK you plan to train, and ultimately, teach. You can apply through UCAS for the main postgraduate and undergraduate teacher training programmes in Wales and Scotland. For programmes in England, use the DfE's 'Apply for teacher training' service.
