University of LincolnBiology - BSc (Hons)I'm now at the end of my second year of biology undergraduate degree. I was originally on the biochemistry course before realising it wasn't right for me, and switching to biology. During my time here, I've been apart of a employer project on the Lincoln award and taken on the role of student ambassador. Lauren
Bangor UniversityBiologyMy main passions are biology and the environment, which is why I'm studying at Bangor University! I make the most of the outdoors surrounding Bangor so feel free to ask me about travel and places to visit. I like to give things a go so know about many of the clubs, societies and volunteering projects. Future career plans are to become a researcher, so I will be continuing at Bangor for my MSc and pHd! My main hobbies include sewing; gaming; watching films and series; and spending time with friends and family. Some of my favorite games are Animal Crossing; Slime Rancher; and Stardew Valley. Some of my favorite movies/series are: How to Train Your Dragon; Vampire Diaries; Grey's Anatomy; and Disney movies. Alina

University of GlasgowMolecular & Cellular Biology [BSc/MSci]Studying molecular and cellular biology fuels my passion for understanding life at its most fundamental level. With a strong interest in genetic mechanisms, I aspire to build a future in biotechnology. Georgina
Bangor UniversityMarine BiologyI love being outside and enjoying nature especially whilst doing something active. I also love marine life and could probably talk for hours about them. James
University of WarwickBiology: Life Sciences (UG)I studied Biology, chemistry, maths and french for A levels and chose to do biochemistry at Warwick because of the opportunity to complete a paid research placement and complete your masters at the same time. I also love the campus vibes and felt very at home when I first visited. I am passionate about research, especially in the field of antimicrobial resistance. In the summer I will be conducting a research project using AlphaFold to model the Enzymes involved in the production of a gram-negative enterobacterial cell surface protein called the O-antigen polysaccharide. The aim of the research is to build more accurate 3D models of the enzymes involved and test different ligands to see if they can act as inhibitors. These can then be tested for the ability to form novel antibiotics. My career ambitions are not that clear to me yet. After my Industrial Masters I would I may want to go into a research role. However, I also have a passion for finance, so I am currently gaining experience in this industry alongside my degree so to have as many options as possible for the future. Kallie
Bangor UniversityMarine BiologyI currently study marine biology, and plan to pursue a career in conservation. I would love to work with a rescue and rehabilitation center as a rescue coordinator and care specialist, or as a diver for conservation and restoration projects around the world. Alongside my coursework, I’m a member of the women’s rugby union. I absolutely love my team, and all the experiences I have through them (like Wednesday night socials)! Sport and society opportunities at Bangor are phenomenal, and I’d love to tell you all about them! We also have a multitude of volunteering opportunities, with truly something for everyone. Bangor can feel quite small, but between uni-sponsored opportunities, third-party events, and living on the doorstep of Eryri, there’s no reason you can’t have a vibrant time here. Katherine
King's College LondonAnatomy, Developmental and Human BiologyI'm a first year anatomy student at King's College London, with a huge passion for both science and the arts. Being Australian, I am keen to do a year abroad there in my third year to visit my family and experience the same uni as my parents.
