    Hello everyone - I'm a third year MEng electronic engineering student currently on industrial placement at the DSP Centre of Excellence here at Bangor University. My industrial placement project involves research and development in automated datapoint collection for visible light positioning systems that utilizes machine learning for increased accuracy for 5G & 6G applications. In Sept 25' I will continue my studies and once I have completed my undergraduate I aspire to become a PhD candidate at the DSP Centre to continue researching in the field of Visible Light Communications & Positioning technologies. Facts: - Parent of three girls. - Motorcycle enthusiast. - Lover of all genre's of music. - M*A*S*H 4077th is my favorite TV show. - Megadeth & Ghost are my two favorite bands. - Final Fantasy VII favorite game, arguably Resident Evil 2 is a closed 2nd.

    Hi! I’m Hannah, a second-year student studying Neural Engineering with Psychology. My degree isn’t one that’s very well known but I love it. It combines Psychology, Engineering and Computer Science. In my next couple of years, I will cover areas like AI, brain computer-interfaces and neuroscience. If that sounds like your sort of thing, then definitely go check it out and feel free to ask me any questions about my experience so far. I mostly work in the CSEE department so I can answer questions about other courses as well. Outside of university I like to listen to music and I’m trying to get back into the gym.     I completed my MSc in EEE from Strathclyde in 2023 and I'm currently working on my PhD in Radar and Signal Processing. I came to Glasgow in 2022, after completing my Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering from India. The student experience at Strathclyde and the beautiful city of Glasgow made this university a top choice for me. I have enjoyed every aspect of university life so far, and am looking forward to advancing in the academic research field here.

    I'm A PhD student, currently researching nuclear fuel material characteristics. I have completed a BSc, MSc and MScRES in computer science. I have designed a simple CPU at the digital logic level, written a Z80 simulator and an developed X-Ray teaching tool as part of my progress through education. I maintain and have worked on a number of open source projects. Outside of computing, I'm a very regular gym goer, was captain of the canoe club last year (and have been white water kayaking for 8-9 years and hold a number of qualifications) and enjoy climbing. I am also a classically trained pianist and (slowly) produce electronic music with a number of synthesizers. I'm a very friendly, sociable and approachable individual who has always tried to help other students where needed.

    I'm Shiam Rahman, an Electronics engineering and Computer Systems student at University of Surrey. My main focus in engineering is making things, particularly in the area of consumer electronics for entertainment. I enjoy turning ideas into functional electronic products through circuit planning, prototyping, and testing, with an emphasis on reliability, consumer friendliness and real-world use. With 3 years of strong expertise in media and design, I bring skills in portrait drawing, painting, graphic design (posters, banners, logos), video editing, and 2D animation. I am currently the Treasurer of the Bangladeshi Society at the University of Surrey and actively engage with PhotoSoc, ArtSoc, and EARS. I also work part-time as a Student Ambassador at the University of Surrey, where I lead campus tours, engage with prospective students, and help organize events. I try to stay as active and involved as possible. My vision is to make impactful changes in entertainment hardware and software; developing creative products, games, and immersive experiences via VFX and graphic design. Bringing my technical electronics knowledge and creativity in art and software together in one place.
