Hi, I'm Ahmed!

I’m a first-year BSc Accounting and Finance student at SOAS. I chose SOAS because of its unique global perspective, diverse community, and strong emphasis on understanding finance in an international and real-world context. The course is both challenging and rewarding, offering a great mix of technical skills and critical thinking.

Beyond my studies, I have a strong background in teaching and mentoring. I’ve spent the past three years leading the 11 Plus department at a tuition center, successfully guiding students through their exams. This experience has strengthened my communication and leadership skills, which I now bring into my university life.

I’m passionate about exploring the intersections of finance, business, and global development, and I hope to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in the future. Outside of academics, I enjoy engaging in student-led initiatives and networking with like-minded individuals.

Hiii, I'm Charlize and I study accounting at the University of Westminster! I'm currently the events coordinator for Baking Society and a Student Ambassador. Lately, I've been obsessed with The Sims 4 and literally cannot get enough of it lol. I also love to crochet and I'm a member of the Crochet Society. In the future, I want to venture into wealth management, banking or management accounting. My future career plans are centered on building a strong foundation in accounting and finance, with a key goal of attaining the ACCA certification to enhance my expertise in global financial standards. As someone born and raised in the UAE with Filipino roots, I have had the privilege of a multicultural upbringing that has shaped my worldview. My positive experience as an international student further broadened my horizons, helping me develop adaptability and resilience—qualities that I will carry into my career. In addition to my professional ambitions, I also have a deep passion for baking, which allows me to blend creativity with precision, much like in finance.

Assalammualaikum and Hi! I am Farah, currently is in my 3rd year in Accounting and Finance. I start to have interest in accounting and finance since I study Business Management in my IB Diploma programme. From there I discover that I love accounting numbers and doing management. My plan after graduating is to work in either accounting, finance, consultancy or management field. I also have a bigger plan to build my own business in the future. 

My biggest interest in this world is learning Al Quran and Islam to be a better human being and give me an inner peace. By learning those, help me a lot in coping with all the study stress and other thing that happening around me which could affect myself.
