MA Visual Communication
Hello I'm Alicia-Marie! I am currently studying an MA in Visual Communications to broaden my employment opportunities, to develop a wider skillset, and familiarise myself with the facilities available. Prior to my Masters, I graduated with a BA in Photography in June 2022. My plan once I have graduated is to start my own small business alongside a 9-5 job in the print/digital media industry.
I am currently a student ambassador for the university, course representative for my studies, artist photographer and I work part-time in retail on my days off.
I have a rather busy social life and go to a social once a week with the Spirit of Solent society! They are an amazing society and everyone is extremely friendly. I spend the rest of my time playing pool or watching the footie with the boys.
please feel free to ask any questions about accommodation as I have visited most of them and lived in David Moxon for my first year. I have good knowledge of the city and things to do aswell.
Outside of university, I train at the gym four days a week alongside reading a lot of nutrition and healthy eating books so I can be healthier for longer. I also read a lot of general knowledge books outside of my studies on subjects such as finance and psychology as I believe they will aid me with people skills and general life skills.

English and Journalism - BA (Hons)
Hi,
I am a second year student who have experienced taking a gap year after completing A-levels in sixth form.
I then took a local college course as I wanted to go into a degree programme where my A-levels wouldn't apply (STEM A-levels wouldn't do for an English and Journalism degree ) and decided the college course would work out cheaper than a foundation course at uni. So that took 2 years. If you are a mature student and worried about adjusting, I can reassure you that the first year is all about making sure everyone is on the same page.
I am also here if you have any issues with roommates as I had to relocate so understand how it can affect your well-being. I can also relate if you come from a bigger city and find it an adjustment to get used to being a student in a smaller space that lacks the usual diversity from big places.
Otherwise, I like reading, running, and sewing but feel free to reach out for a chat about nothing and everything under the sun :)

I left school after 6th year, not knowing what career path to follow🤷🏼♀️I obtained a job at a veterinary practice and have been there, happily, for 26 years😊Five years ago I became the local Beaver Scout Leader, where my love for teaching children intensified (teaching my own two sons is where it all began!)😃Last year I received my HNC in Childhood Practice and I have just finished the first year of my Primary Teaching degree😊 I still have my job and this year has been hard with homeschooling my children whilst studying, but I survived 🥴and can't wait for second year to begin, hopefully being on campus🙏🏻

International Management and Modern Languages (French) BSc (Hons)
Hi, I am a final year International Management and French student at the University of Bath. I really love my course and I particularly enjoyed my year abroad in Paris. In my free time I am very involved in athletics - I used to compete nationally, but due to injury I am now a photographer and assistant coach. I am also really into music, especially classic rock. For me, an ideal day would be spent visiting Bath’s charity shops hunting for vinyl! Please feel free to ask me about things like placement years, activities in Bath/on campus or university life in general!

Biology - BSc (Hons)
Hi! I’m Amelia, and I’m studying biology at UOL! I am the course rep for my year and also a student ambassador, and my interests in biology are towards the structural aspects. I enjoy learning about human biology and how the human systems work, and the similarities between us and animals. I hope to study more about the history of biology, such as fossils and bones in the future, as well as ‘ancientbiotics’ - how humans treated diseases without the knowledge we have now. In my free time I like to help out and volunteer with projects relating to my interests in biology and also tabletop games!

I'm a second-year BA International Business student at NTU. I'm loving my time at NTU so far and I'm so happy that I decided to do International Business as I was torn between a couple of other majors while applying to uni. I know how hard it can be to make a decision about your future, so please, don't think your question isn't worth asking.

Education With Primary Teaching Qualification [MEduc]
Study: I am currently studying for a master's in Education with Primary Teaching Qualification. In the future I plan to undertake a law conversion as I would like to work in education policy.
Student life: I enjoy spending my free time trying new food places around Glasgow and volunteering for various societies.
Other: I love to travel and have been on a variety of travel placements that have been supported by the university, such as working at a camp in America, going on a pilgrimage to Palestine, and studying a semester abroad in Austria.
I have recently completed my FdSc Applied Animal Management Level 5 and currently doing my BSC (Hons) Applied Animal Management (Top-up) course to hopfully start working in a career feild that best suits me. I am one of the older students who after realising the career I was currently in wasn't what i wanted to do, and therefore made the decision to return to education full time. Before joining Lincoln College, i was given a great oppertunity to work out in Australia for 5 Months which also helped me realised I liked the thought of possibly working in a different country.
