I was born and raised in Nigeria and joined UWE early 2023. I will admit I waited till the last minute to decide to pursue software engineering as a degree, but I do believe I made the right decision. My passion for coding and software development is growing by the day and I cannot wait to apply my abilities in the real world. That’s not to say I don’t suffer from imposter syndrome occasionally, but I do think being in the right environment has really helped change my mindset and attitude.

Hi! My name is Zilan, and I am starting my 2nd year as a children’s nurse student at City St George’s, University of London. I previously went to sixth form and studied A-levels and I commute to university. I have hopes of specialising as a NICU nurse. My first placement block with City was at a school, and I currently have the rest of my placements at a children’s hospital. I’m happy to answer any questions about student life, the university and becoming a children’s nurse. :)

Hello, I’m Zoe!
In the future I would love to go into presenting and journalism, it has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
After Unuversity, I want to travel the world before settling down and finding my dream job.
I am from a small town called Mirfield, and so moving to Leeds for University has been a huge step for me, I was not used to the city lifestyle at all.
I am now moving into my second year at Uni, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
