I’m a first-generation university student, studying theoretical physics. At school, I became curious as to how we can understand the universe using concepts and equations; so studying physics felt like the thing I should do. 

I’m still not sure exactly what I want to do after university - there’s a wide range of research opportunities if I want to stay in physics, but lots of very different careers I could maybe see myself going into instead.

Hi!! I'm a postgraduate law student, doing my International Law LLM at University of Glasgow, I have also got my Common Law LLB degree last June from the same university, so I have been here for a long time :)) I am hoping to specialise in women's rights and gender equality. I'm from Turkey and this is my fifth year in Glasgow and in UofG :) 

I have been dancing and acting since I was a kid. So, I have been very involved in performing arts for so many years and I am super lucky to be still doing that in university. I loveeeee meeting new people, attending social events, spending time with my friends, and always finding something fun to do in Glasgow with my loved ones (as a wee Covid fresher in my undergrad, I am happy that I am finally having a normal freshers week for my postgrad)!! I chose to study Medicine because I love science and art, and Medicine is the perfect combination of both. I particularly love the Brunel MBBS Team-Based Learning model (TBL) as it guides my learning journey as a medical student very well. The early placement opportunity since Year 1 has been the most rewarding learning experience for me.

This year I will be starting my PhD, focusing on "Electric Vehicle Routing for Middle Mile Logistics Operations". Whilst studying at Bangor University, I plan on applying to North Wales Police as a Special Constable. The SC has all the same training, equipment and rights as a standard Police Officer however it is voluntary. This will give me invaluable experience into the world and policing alongside my a degree which I love.
I go to Fitness First (one of the many local gyms) everyday other than Sunday, I really enjoying working out and found its a great outlet for stress and also improves my physical and mental health, I also follow a strict diet and skincare routine which also helps with the stresses that may arise during University life.
When I am not studying or in the gym, my main hobby is Gaming, I play on the desktop computer (SO much better than console!)
