Hi! I’m Liv from Vietnam, currently studying Business with Marketing. I chose this course because it perfectly combines creativity with real-world business skills — and the university's supportive community and global outlook made it an easy choice for me.

When I’m not in lectures, you’ll probably find me planning my next solo trip, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or working on a DIY project like crocheting or embroidery. I’m also a big cat person and love meeting new people from different cultures — uni life has really helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I’m always happy to chat about anything from managing your timetable, finding the right accommodation, to travel tips (UK, Schengen, even Morocco!), and what to expect as a student here. Don’t hesitate to say hi — I’d love to help however I can!

A little about me: I'm 24, and still got lots to figure out but never stressed about it. I'm always happy to talk about life, fiction and everything in between--and meeting new people is a personal hobby of mine. My plans for getting more people to watch horror movies with me is steadily failing, but my future career-planning is going alright. So, you win some and you lose some, I guess.

Hi, I’m Ben!

I’m currently studying Accountancy at Lincoln University, and I’m in my third year, working towards a predicted 2:1 but pushing for a 1st. I’m passionate about finance, accounting, and business, and I’m keen to apply my knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Beyond my studies, I’ve taken part in various industry-focused opportunities, including:

Completing the Bloomberg Market Concepts course to develop financial markets knowledge.

Achieving Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Excel, enhancing my data analysis skills.

Winning 1st place in the CIMA Business Game Award, showcasing my problem-solving and strategic thinking.

Acting as a Student Ambassador and Course Representative, helping students navigate university life and academic challenges.

I also have work experience across multiple industries, from customer service and operations to handling emergency calls for the NHS. These roles have strengthened my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

In my first and second year, I lived in Lincoln, which gave me a great experience of student life, but for my final year I’m commuting. So, whether you’re moving away for university or thinking about commuting, I’m happy to share advice on both!

Outside of academics, I’m a huge football fan and love both playing and watching the game. I also enjoy gaming in my free time, whether it's competitive online matches or just relaxing with friends.

Literature and Creative Writing

3rd year English Literature student currently finishing my studies at UEA and set to begin  my MA in Archiving at UCL next year. Working towards a career in Archiving and Record Preservation. 
Particularly interests in Critical Theory and philosophy. Passionate about exploring the intersections between literature, politics, music, visual art and our collective histories. The written word is not dead or static but full of life which it gives to us, which is why I feel the study of Literature is so significant.
I also enjoy creative writing as a way of developing my passion for reading, and enjoying an appreciation for my favourite books which is interactive and participatory.
In my spare time I boulder at Rock Punk Climbing Cafe, located on Magdalen Street in Norwich, and Highball Climbing Centre, just a bus ride away from the City Centre. I love the element of problem solving involved in completing difficult routes and  advancing towards harder challenges with a renewed set of physical and mental skills.
I also find that Climbing is a sport that has helped me immensely around difficulties stemming from complete blindness in my left eye, such as strengthening depth perception and hand eye coordination. It is something I'd recommend very highly to anyone with impaired eye-sight (and everyone else too!)
I am also well acquainted with the DSA process by virtue of my blindness so please do message me if you're curious or facing any troubles with regard to disability allowance and support!
I have also skateboarded for a number of years and enjoy a street skate sesh or a trip to Eaton Park whenever I can :)

Hi! I’m Benjamin, and I’m currently studying BA (Hons) Architectural Design and Technology at Southampton Solent University.
I’m passionate about design, urban planning, and how architecture shapes our daily lives. I decided to study architecture because I’ve always been fascinated by buildings, spaces, and the way environments can influence people’s experiences. The creative and technical aspects of the field draw me in, and I love the challenge of merging functionality with aesthetics. At Solent, I’m exploring everything from architectural theory to hands-on design projects. We get to work with both traditional and digital tools, and the program offers a great balance of studio work and technical learning. So far, I’ve worked on some exciting projects. I have been dancing and acting since I was a kid. So, I have been very involved in performing arts for so many years and I am super lucky to be still doing that in university. I loveeeee meeting new people, attending social events, spending time with my friends, and always finding something fun to do in Glasgow with my loved ones (as a wee Covid fresher in my undergrad, I am happy that I am finally having a normal freshers week for my postgrad)!! Hi my name is Beth! I am second year veterinary medicine student. I have a lot of ideas for my future as a qualified vet and I have not yet decided which path I want to take. I would love to work with various charities in different countries around the world, but i also love the idea of working in a mixed practice with both farm and small animals. I have also become more interested in the idea of working in emergency practice or end of life care.

I like staying active in various ways, I love climbing and football and have also learned to scuba dive with the society and university. I love walking by dogs and hanging out with friends on the weekend for a coffee or a few drinks at the pub!

Hi there! I’m Billie and currently in my 3rd year of the MBChB course. I am from a working-class background in Glasgow, and entered MBChB via the ‘Gateway to Medical Studies Programme’ for widening participation students. 

There’s such a variety of classes you participate in during medical school, ranging from anatomy labs to small group discussions, so the course will always keep you on your toes! You also get a flavour of being a doctor through GP or hospital placements… even in 1st year! 

I’ve really enjoyed my journey so far in medical school! I am currently on block rotations within different specialties, and I’ve really enjoyed speaking with patients, listening to their individual stories and putting my clinical skills to good use!
