Hello! My name is Ellena and I am 23 years old. My dream job is to be an intensive care paediatric nurse. My pathway into nursing was through childcare - I’ve just always had a passion for teaching and caring for the younger generation! I find it extremely rewarding to be that difference to someone in their worst moments. I’m work driven and love to be busy so you’ll always find me doing something in my busy life! I have 2 jobs which I work alongside my degree and placements, this helps me earn whilst being a student! I absolutely love what I am doing and want to inspire like-minded people to take the leap too!

Hi! My name is Zilan, and I am starting my 2nd year as a children’s nurse student at City St George’s, University of London. I previously went to sixth form and studied A-levels and I commute to university. I have hopes of specialising as a neonatal nurse. My first placement block with City was at a school, and I currently have the rest of my placements at a children’s hospital. I’m happy to answer any questions about student life, the university and becoming a children’s nurse. :)

Hey! I’m Basirah, a third-year Nursing student at King’s College London. When I started uni, I had so many questions and wasn’t always sure where I’d find my place — but getting involved in societies like the Afro Caribbean Medical Society (ACMS) and The Nightingale Society really helped me find my community. I’m passionate about caring for others and making sure people feel seen, especially in healthcare spaces.
