In episode three, you’ll explore how professional journalism is created — from planning and researching a story to filming, editing, and publishing it. You’ll learn how journalists prepare through strong research, smart questioning, how interviews are shot and produced. Mark Hannaby is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism at the University of Chester, and the Course Leader for Sports Journalism BA (Hons). Mark teaches across all levels of our courses, including such subjects as the fundamentals of news reporting, video journalism and feature writing. Before he becoming a lecturer Mark spent 15 years as a professional journalist in every media form - print, television, radio, online and social media - working at both ITV and BBC News.
