I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for a long time, I loved maths and computer science so followed that through into games, I'm hoping to be a part of a big studio making games before setting up my own indie studio

Hey, I'm Becka! đ· I recently graduated from Keele with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and am now an MA Creative Writing student here. I love all things art, from writing to drawing to fashion and self-expression. I also spend a lot of time playing video games, eating food and taking pictures of my cat (my phone storage is nearly full).
I've taken electives in philosophy, psychology, media studies and sociology, and live off-campus. In the future I hope to live in a remote forest treehouse (with a good wi-fi signal). Feel free to ask me any questions about uni! đŠ

BA (Hons) Social Work (Full-time)
I am aware starting your university journey may seem daunting and perhaps lonely. Myself, having had moved to Plymouth from London can understand some of the concerns or fears around university life but hopefully my experience can ease some of your anxiety :)
I'm in my 1st year of social work and so far it's been an interesting learning experience! My placements have been very insightful and inspiring for my journey in social work, at this moment my interest is around working in children's services but im still enjoying exloring my placement with adults.
My previous studies being A-Level Psychology, Sociology and BTEC Health & Social Care has definetely contributed to my interest in this career path as I am intrigued in both sociological and psychological aspects of individuals with my favorites being around biopsychology and adverse childhood experiences.
The best thing about this degree is that it's extremely broad so there's an interest for everyone. for example, it covers subjects from the medical field, law, sociology, education and psychology which gives you unlimited opportunities to explore in the future and plenty of career choices!

Nursing - Adult
My journey to this land of 'many stories' - Norwich, is that of intense research that uncovered fascinating realities, amongst which is the combination of aesthetic medieval architecture and academic excellence.
UEA is a school that harmonizes students from different countries with diverse ethnicities via the availability of different groups and clubs in order to foster social interactions among students. UEA is also highly student-centered in terms of prioritizing and providing quality academic and well-being support at various levels. More interesting is the fast admission process, timely responses to enquiries and the flexible payment methods which is the icebreaker. The Nigerian representative and student ambassadors also makes the admission process a lot easier by being usually accessible and available to douse the flames of confusion and give clear directions where necessary.
I have always found myself within the spheres of leadership and responsibility at every point and that is where my passion for health and wellbeing was birthed. Studying nursing in the school of Health Sciences at UEA has proven to be a step in the right direction; to mention a few will be the practical and simulation sessions, one-on-one mentorship educational system whereby students academic growth is every lecturer's concern. Also, the inter-professional learning opportunity where students from the entire school of health sciences work together to promote excellent teamwork which underpins the Nursing profession.Â
I love taking long walks along the schoolâs riverside which gives a glimpse of the epic coastal sceneries that surrounds UEA and grabbing a cup of coffee from Ziggys or simply relax in the evenings with my friends for a fun-time at the scholars bar on campus: UEA is simply home from home for me.
