MDiet (Hons) Dietetics
After spending 12 years as a military musician, I made the decision to change careers and study dietetics! I am about to start my 2nd year as a mature student. I'm originally from Southampton but work brought me to Plymouth before starting Uni, so I know the area well. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the course, uni life, being a mature student or the local area - I'm happy to help!

Since the day I made a decision to move to university. I have never reconsidered my choices. The warm and welcoming community makes it all worth it.

Literature and Creative Writing
I'm from Hyderabad, which is a metropolitan city in the south of India. Hyderabad has an incredibly rich and diverse literary history, and growing up there meant that I was inevitably drawn into art and literature. Writing has always been my passion- I can't remember a time when I didn't make up stories in my head! I love literature that's accessible yet elegant, simple stories done beautifully with care. I've spent the last three years at UEA on the English Literature with Creative Writing course, and fallen in love with both Norwich and UEA. There's a real camaraderie to be found among students and staff here, and despite being thousands of miles from India I've begun to feel at home here in Norwich. UEA is full of brilliant, passionate people who support each other and aim to effect real change in the world- being here has not only exposed me to different cultures and experiences, but also helped to improve my craft and expand my perspective of the world. UEA's an amazing place for students and writers to be, and I look forward to speaking to you about both Norwich and the University!

I am really passionate about marine research and conservation. I hope to continue in academia after my degree to pursue a Master's or a PhD and to one day work in research! Sport and Exercise Science - BSc (Hons)
I previously studied A levels: business, biology and BTEC sport at sixth form. I am currently studying sport and exercise science and am 2nd year. After graduating I am thinking about either studying a masters in Physiotherapy or perhaps joining the police. I am part of the University ladies 1’s hockey team and play games on Wednesdays. I also go to the University gym on a regular basis.
I’m here to help and happy to answer any questions you may have!

Paramedic Science
Hi, I’m Anisha and I am a 3rd year paramedic science student at the University of East Anglia. I lived on campus in 1st year and have moved out for 2nd year to live with my friends. Outside of my studies, I love heading into the city to browse the food markets or watch the latest Marvel film. After graduation, I hope to work with the London ambulance service or be accepted onto the civil service fast stream.

English and Journalism - BA (Hons)
Hi,
I am a second year student who have experienced taking a gap year after completing A-levels in sixth form.
I then took a local college course as I wanted to go into a degree programme where my A-levels wouldn't apply (STEM A-levels wouldn't do for an English and Journalism degree ) and decided the college course would work out cheaper than a foundation course at uni. So that took 2 years. If you are a mature student and worried about adjusting, I can reassure you that the first year is all about making sure everyone is on the same page.
I am also here if you have any issues with roommates as I had to relocate so understand how it can affect your well-being. I can also relate if you come from a bigger city and find it an adjustment to get used to being a student in a smaller space that lacks the usual diversity from big places.
Otherwise, I like reading, running, and sewing but feel free to reach out for a chat about nothing and everything under the sun :)
