Founded in 2001, London Film Academy began as a boutique film school in a converted church in Fulham Broadway, London, created to offer a more practical and industry-focused approach to film education.
Today, LFA is internationally recognised for developing skilled, adaptable filmmakers ready to succeed in the screen industries. More than just a film school, we are a creative community where collaboration, creativity and professional practice are at the heart of the student experience.
Our hands-on approach reflects the realities of film and television production, giving students the opportunity to build practical skills, industry knowledge and confidence through real-world experience. While we have grown significantly over the years, our commitment to a supportive, inclusive and collaborative learning environment remains unchanged, empowering students to find their voice and fulfil their creative potential.

Our multi-disciplinary approach reflects the collaborative nature of professional film and television production. Working in small groups and guided by experienced industry professionals and practitioners, you will gain an understanding of all aspects of the filmmaking process while developing your own specialism within a supportive and nurturing environment.
We believe in learning by doing. From day one, you will be making films, solving creative challenges and gaining practical experience using professional production equipment, post-production facilities, in-house studios and our screening theatre. This ensures your education remains relevant, industry-focused and excellent value for money.
