Student support
At Coventry University, support starts with you. From your first day to graduation, you’ll have a dedicated Success Coach who gets to know you as an individual and supports you every step of the way.
This is a consistent relationship, not a one-off meeting. Your Success Coach will help you settle into university life, build confidence and stay on track, taking the time to understand your goals, challenges and ambitions. They’ll support you to make informed decisions, plan your next steps and connect you to the right help when you need it.
Alongside this, you’ll have access to a wide range of specialist support services. Whether you need help with your studies, managing your wellbeing, or adapting to university life, there is support available to help you thrive.
Our wellbeing and mental health teams can offer guidance and practical advice to help you manage challenges and achieve your academic goals. We also provide 24/7 emotional support, as well as tailored support if you have a disability, learning difference or long-term health condition.
As you progress, support also focuses on helping you grow.
Support at Coventry goes beyond helping you stay on track – it’s also about helping you grow.
With Phoenix+, our personal development programme, you will take part in practical activities and experiences alongside your course. You could explore real-world scenarios, take on challenges and build skills in problem solving, teamwork and decision making, all within a supportive environment. Each campus offers its own mix of activities, so your experience will reflect where you study.
These experiences help you understand your strengths and build confidence in how you apply your knowledge, so you graduate not just with a degree, but with real examples of what you can do.
Our careers and employability teams will support you from enrolment through to after you graduate. You’ll get help with CVs, applications and interview preparation, as well as opportunities to connect with employers, gain experience and explore different career paths.
Whether you already know what you want to do, or you’re still exploring your options, you’ll be supported to develop your direction and take your next steps with confidence.
Supporting potential
We recognise that potential isn’t defined by grades alone. Through our Fair Access Scheme, you may be eligible for a reduced offer based on your individual circumstances, helping you access higher education and succeed in your studies.
