About us

pointblank music school was voted Best Music or Specialist Institution by WhatUni in 2023, so if you’re looking to study music production, sound engineering, DJing, vocal performance, songwriting, music business, music software engineering, or radio/podcasting, then pointblank is where you need to be.

We’ve been teaching the art of music production and related arts for almost 30 years, and we pride ourselves on the industry relationships we’ve built which make pointblank stand out from the crowd. Our students are among the most satisfied in the country, giving us an 87% Teaching score in the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS). We're also very proud to receive TEF Gold status, the only Music Production school to do so.

We collaborate with Middlesex University to run foundation, three-year, and two-year (accelerated) university-level degree programmes designed and taught by industry experts who will guide you throughout your journey and help you step inside the music industry.

We've also picked up our fair share of awards and top-quality reviews. What sets us apart is our focus on the students, making us one of the consistently highest-rated independent music schools in the National Student Survey (NSS).

We have recently expanded our campus with a brand-new space featuring two immersive Dolby Atmos spatial audio studios. Fitted with a 7.1.4 system, our two SSLs – a Duality Delta 48 Channel and an Origin desk – will not disappoint. You’ll be immersed in these outstanding spaces featuring equipment that’s only enjoyed by industry professionals in high-end recording studios. Our campus includes a spacious communal hub, two state-of-the-art live recording studios, two dedicated singing rooms, a stage, nine practice rooms, bike storage and lots more!
