Originally from Hong Kong, Sharon moved to the UK in 2021 to experience life abroad. Passionate about storytelling, marketing and mental health advocacy, Sharon particularly enjoys helping people who moved to a new country to feel seen, heard and supported.

Joy Elliott-Bowman

Joy Elliott-Bowman is Director of Policy and Development for Independent Higher Education UK. She currently leads IHE’s work in a number of areas including quality, regulation and immigration policy for both students and education providers. 

Prior to joining IHE, Joy worked with the National Union of Students as their resident expert in immigration, Tier 4 policy and international students. Joy has worked in the education sector in the UK and Canada for over 10 years.
