As communicated in bulletin 410, SIMD16 is now available through UCAS’ contextual data service (CDS). This service provides data about an applicant's school or college and local area which can be used for contextualised admissions , helping assess their prior attainment and potential to succeed in light of their circumstances.
To support the transition to SIMD16, we are now providing reports via MOVEit, detailing any movement in quintiles for applicants applying to each course provider. The relevant files are named ‘ANN SIMD value changes,’ where ANN is the provider code.
For more information and to register for the CDS, please contact contextualdata@ucas.ac.uk.
