UCAS Teacher Training cycle information

We informed you in last week’s bulletin that the UCAS Teacher Training search tool will not open on the published date of 27 September 2016, as we are awaiting finalisation of NCTL’s 2017/18 recruitment methodology.

Posted Thu 22 September 2016

It is expected that the NCTL will release the final recruitment methodology to training providers within the next few weeks. We would like to reassure you no deadlines have been missed.

We are working closely with the NCTL while we make a decision on the opening of the UCAS Teacher Training search tool and are still working to a provisional date for the opening of UCAS Teacher Training Apply on 18 October. This date is subject to change, while we await finalisation of the 2017/18 recruitment methodology, please take this into consideration when planning ahead.

We expect the NCTL to be communicating with training providers within the next few weeks. To help us avoid any further delays, and to ensure your training programmes are visible to potential applicants, we would be grateful if you could ensure all available training programmes are set to running within 48 hours of receiving notification from the NCTL of your programme status. Entry Profile information can continue to be completed and updated after this time.

We will provide further information, including dates for the opening of the UCAS Teacher Training search tool and Apply, as soon as these are confirmed.
