Situated between the Peace Gardens and Winter Garden, Millennium Square is a central feature of the city centre.

'There are some really alt-y places, like Night Kitchen with techno and reggae bangers for indie kids drinking Red Stripe. Sheffield also has a really good live music scene. There are loads of small venues like The Rocking Chair and Leadmill.'

'I live in Ecclesall. It's about 30 minutes away from uni, but it's a nice neighbourhood. The reason I live here is because it's cheap and next to my work. It's on a main bus route to town.'

'In Sheffield you have to start looking for accommodation very early. Letting season starts on 1 November, meaning houses go quickly. This is an issue, especially in first year, as you can’t guarantee you’ll be friends with the same people a year later!'
