About the course
International financial law plays a central role in global business transactions due to the increasing dependence of the world’s economies on the financial system. As a result, there’s an increasing demand for professionals with expertise in international financial law.
On this course, you’ll learn from leading scholars, lawyers and practitioners whose research and professional activities underpin their teaching. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of:
domestic and international developments from practical, regulatory and policy perspectives on financial and corporate law
the financial services industry
regulatory issues affecting major transactions in global financial markets.
This course gives you flexibility to tailor your studies to your interests. You can choose from modules that will give you a strong background in core aspects of corporate and financial law. See the modules section for our latest options, but topics you cover may include:
how to draft complex international financial contracts
the implications of fintech regulation, including cryptocurrencies
the international capital and liquidity rules for banks
how to identify and prevent money laundering and other financial crimes
ways to guarantee corporate compliance with sustainable and green finance rules

You’ll also have the chance to join consultancy projects with business organisations. This will provide you with useful practical experience to start or advance your professional career.
