BA (Hons) Music Production & Songwriting degree is designed for aspiring songwriters, producers and composers who want to shape their musical identity, refine their craft and build a career in the music industry. This programme provides you with the all the skills, confidence and industry insights you will need to find success.
In the first term of this course you’ll get to experience a professional two-day songwriting boot camp at Osea Island, a destination for the creative industries that has played host to major film & music productions, away from the hustle and bustle of London life. A trip like this is absolutely vital for anybody that wants to be a songwriter or produce great art.
Throughout the programme, you’ll learn the core principles of songwriting, from lyrical and melodic composition to creating arrangements that captivate listeners. As you progress, you’ll develop advanced techniques in stylistic composition, vocal production and collaborative songwriting as well as working on briefs that mirror real-world industry demands. You’ll gain hands-on experience in music production, learning how to create, produce and market your music to a professional standard.
