BSc (Hons) Nutrition, Physical Activity and Health is an ideal degree for anyone with a keen interest in nutrition and health. This course is designed to give you a deep understanding of Health, Nutrition and Lifestyle while equipping you with practical skills and knowledge. You will also develop important and transferable skills, such as leadership, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking, which are valuable in many industries.
As part of the programme, you will have opportunities to earn additional awards, such as gym instructor, personal trainer, and first aid qualifications. These additional qualifications will enhance your employability and practical skills. You will also get hands-on experience in health assessment and dietary analysis activities, addressing real-world problems and cases.
Our nutrition laboratory is equipped with nutrition-specific resources and dietary analysis software, providing a professional environment for your studies. The programme covers a range of assessment methods, including oral and written presentations, exams, case studies, peer assessment, work experience reports, and project-based work.
Upon completion of the programme, you will be eligible for Registered Associate Nutritionist status, allowing you to use the title ‘A. Nutr.’ This professional recognition will set you apart in the job market and demonstrate your expertise in nutrition.
Throughout the course, you will explore various aspects of health and nutrition. You will learn about chronic disease, meal planning, nutrition for sport and exercise, and public policy. You will also study psychology and human performance, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence health and fitness levels.
Our programme is designed to prepare you for a successful career in community health, public health, or any role focused on improving health and promoting lifestyle and nutrition.
