Course overview
Network technologies are constantly evolving and underpin almost everything we do. This degree provides a hands-on approach and strong emphasis on network infrastructure, particularly how you can create and manage secure networks.
Cybersecurity protects systems and networks from digital threats. As we rely more on technology, it’s essential to keep information and digital infrastructure secure for individuals and organisations. Cybercriminals are constantly developing new ways to steal data, cause disruption and commit online fraud. Study a curriculum that reflects real industry practice, preparing you to respond to these evolving threats with confidence and skill.
This course takes a practical, hands-on approach where you focus on cybersecurity, ethical hacking and network infrastructure. Learn how to design, build and manage secure systems and networks in different environments.
You work with a range of cybersecurity and networking techniques, including:
conducting ethical hacking and security analysis
designing and implementing industry-standard network architectures such as virtual, mobile and cloud-based systems
managing servers and enterprise-level infrastructure
securing computers and networks, and deploying intrusion detection and prevention systems
carrying out risk assessments, managing data governance and ensuring compliance.
