Welsh-Medium Study Bursaries

As part of the Welsh Government's drive to increase the number of students studying through the medium of Welsh, Bangor has bursaries to support those who choose to study all or part of their course through the medium of Welsh.

Bursaries of £250 per year are available to those who choose to study more than 40 credits per year through the medium of Welsh. Awards are paid to eligible students from the 1st March annually.

Remember

• To be eligible for any of Bangor's bursaries, you must complete a student finance application form - this is how students' rights to loans, maintenance grants etc are assesed. This form is also used to assess your right to a bursary.
• Bursary payments are administered and distributed by the Student Loans Company on behalf of the University - so you must complete a student finance application form before you can receive a bursary payment from Bangor.
