University of StrathclydeMSc Quantum TechnologiesHi! I'm a student at Strathclyde doing my Master's in Quantum Technologies. I'm from Bangalore and would love to help you figure things out! I can read and write in English, Hindi, and Kannada. So feel free to communicate with me in any of these languages. I also understand Tamil, but I cannot read the script :) Caitlin
University of StrathclydePhD ChemistryHello! My name is Caitlin and I am 1st year chemistry PhD student. Last year I was on placement in Germany working in Crop Science Research and Development! Outside of my degree, I enjoy going playing netball and getting together with friends for board games and a laugh! Carolina
University of StrathclydeFaculty of EngineeringHello there! I'm Carolina, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin in Italy, and I also pursued a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Design at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Strathclyde. These academic experiences, along with my current PhD studies, have fueled my interest and knowledge in Academic Skills. For me, being an architect means more than just working with blueprints on a screen. It's about delving into all the stages of a project, considering the surroundings, their history, and the people who will live there. I never tire of investigating problems and searching for the best solutions. My educational journey, combined with my extracurricular experiences, has ignited a special passion for languages, particularly English, Spanish, and German. Learning these languages has broadened my horizons, allowing me to better understand and appreciate diverse cultures and traditions. Thanks to my academic pursuits and my background in extracurricular activities, I've honed my ability to connect with people and communicate ideas clearly. On a more personal note, I adore cooking, traveling, photography, watching sports, and staying active by participating in various sports. Christian
University of StrathclydeMSc Business & ManagementI am a young man dedicated to self-improvement through valuable learning experiences, with a strong interest in finance and investments in cryptocurrencies and stocks. I am planning to establish my own construction company in my country. I love reading, playing sports with friends, and continuously learning, especially new languages and soft skills. I firmly believe that mental health and family are the most important aspects of life. Ella
University of StrathclydeFaculty of ScienceHey there, I'm Ella!! I'm in my 2nd year of University, and I'm finally settled into Uni life now ;) I love learning about my Immunology degree, especially about viruses and cancers. On the weekends, you can find me hiking with my friends and sometimes we even go wild swimming if the weathers nice (not likely)⛰️. After my lectures, I can either go rock climbing in my Uni society, watch some football, catch up with the F1 I missed on the weekend or catch up with friends in the union playing some pool. Emma
University of StrathclydeFaculty of ScienceHi there! I am an MSc Student who recently graduated from Strathclyde with a BA in Business Analysis and Technology and Business Law. In my honours year, I had the opportunity to complete an investigation to determine the feasibility of mass adoption of AI. I was fascinated by this exciting domain and wanted to further explore the technological underpinnings. I have a strong interest in this area as the possibilities for applications are vast. In my free time, I enjoy exploring both Scotland and abroad, but particularly this beautiful country. Some of my favourite memories from Strathclyde have been the sports ball, a mountaineering trip to Glencoe, and attending fight nights. I have had so many great experiences from my time as a student here from from being a sports union volunteer to becoming a class rep. So much to get involved in! I am happy to chat about anything regarding Glasgow, academia, and any other aspects of student life :) Hemanga
University of StrathclydeFaculty of EngineeringI'm currently working on my PhD in Radar and Signal Processing. I came to Glasgow in 2022, after completing my Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering from India. The student experience at Strathclyde and the beautiful city of Glasgow made this university a top choice for me. I have enjoyed every aspect of university life so far, and am looking forward to advancing in the academic research field here. Hemanth Babu Dhulipalla
University of StrathclydeFaculty of EngineeringHey there, I'm Hemanth! I've finally settled into uni life and I'm loving every moment of it. I've had the pleasure of engaging with many students, helping them get comfortable with our amazing campus and all the resources we have. I love giving campus tours and showing off our fantastic facilities and support services. As a doctoral research scholar, my research focuses on characterizing materials using Non-Destructive Testing. I'm always here to guide you, whether you have questions about your studies or just want to know more about social life in Glasgow. If you ever need help or just someone to talk to, I'm your go-to person! Hui Xin
University of StrathclydeFaculty of Humanities and Social SciencesHi! I'm an international student from Singapore currently studying a joint honours degree course at Strathclyde. I chose to study here at quite the last minute because I changed my mind about what I wanted to pursue and Strathclyde allows me to do joint honours for a combination of subjects which is not offered by most universities. I have been really enjoying my classes so far and I am looking forward to my remaining years ahead at university! Feel free to ask me questions about being an international student, student life, or what it's like in Glasgow :D Johnnie
University of StrathclydeFaculty of Humanities and Social SciencesI am currently studying towards a PhD in History focusing on food culture as an expression of identity in diaspora communities in the UK. I hope to move in to teaching after that though I am also interested in getting involved in areas of social policy so am keen to see where my project takes me. Before returning to education I worked for over 10 years in the sales environment selling a range of products to both public and private sector clients. Kirsty
University of StrathclydePhD Pharmacy & Biomedical SciencesI’m a recent Bsc (Hons) Immunology and Pharmacology graduate from Strathclyde. I’m now undertaking a PhD at Strathclyde in Biochemical Pharmacology, in particular, looking at signalling pathways in cancer. In my spare time, I enjoy hill climbing and going on adventures around Scotland. I’m really passionate about Pharmacology and am happy to help you with any queries you may have about it 😊 Max
University of StrathclydeFaculty of ScienceI'm currently a PhD in Quantum Computation / Technologies student. In my spare time I go rock climbing several times per week, both indoors and outdoors. I also love curling up on the sofa with a good SciFi / Fantasy novel.
