Hi! I'm really interested in the history of American music and how it has shaped, and been shaped by, American culture over time. I also love twentieth century and modern American literature. I started at UEA when I was 22 and I'm so happy I made the decision to come to UEA as a mature student, I'm loving my course and spent a semester studying at a college in Vermont this year! Norwich is a great city and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about living here!

Hi guys,
I'm currently in my fourth year studying Arabic and Economics and I’ve just returned from an incredible year abroad in Jordan.
Over the past few years, I’ve completed internships across various sectors and developed a strong interest in the MENA region, particularly in the areas of diplomacy and international student recruitment.
I'm also passionate about widening participation and social mobility, and I’m keen to work on projects or initiatives that support access to education and opportunity—especially for underrepresented communities!

Durham University
BA Modern Languages and Cultures (R002)
Hey! I’m Mia, a Modern Languages and Cultures (MLAC) Undergraduate. I am currently in my first year here at Durham University and I am a part of the Josephine Butler College family. More specifically, I study Spanish (post A-level) and Italian (beginners) at Durham and I am loving learning both languages in such a beautiful city. When I am not watching a Spanish series on Netflix or following an Italian influencer online you would probably find me taking part in some of Durham’s societies. I am a proud member and college representative of the 93% club, a volunteer and Spanish representative for MLAC Outreach and also part of the Hispanic and Italian societies. Feel free to ask me about these (or any other) societies here at Durham if this is something you might be interested in. I hope to answer all of your questions relating to university and Durham, no matter how big or small they may be. Please ask away!
