Hi everyone, I’m Nathania! I went to state schools in Southend and East London, and I am now studying a mix of English, Spanish and Criminology/ Sociology at Durham. I am currently working in Madrid for my year abroad and will be returning to Durham in September 2027 to continue my degree! I have alot of interests (clearly!) and Liberal Arts at Durham allowed me to study basically all of them!

Hey, I’m Suyeon!
I’m from South Korea and currently studying Arts Administration and Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths. Moving to London has been an exciting adventure, and I’m really enjoying everything the city has to offer—from amazing museums and galleries to cozy cafés and beautiful parks.

Living abroad can feel overwhelming at first, but I’ve found so many great places and experiences that make London feel like home. Whether it’s exploring different neighborhoods, discovering new exhibitions, or just relaxing in one of the city’s many green spaces, there’s always something to do!

Hi, I’m Gabriel and I’m a final year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student. I have always been obsessed with computers and knew I wanted to go into the industry from quite a young age. University was the obvious choice to me; it gave me a good path towards my future career and the whole aspect of it appealed to me. The best thing about university is being able to study a subject you're passionate about surrounded by others who feel the same. I am still unsure as to exactly which area of computer science I want to go into, but this is common, and I still have a few years of university left to help me figure this out. For me, everything started when I was in kindergarten. My days would be spent singing, dancing, painting, making bread and climbing every tree in the garden. After kindergarten, I went to the Music Conservatory where I graduated after 11 years of playing the flute. However, that was not enough so I continued to explore what art could mean and how many forms it could have. So, at 18 I decided to have my first ballet class. It was then that I discovered my passion for dance and performance and decided to dedicated myself intensively to the dance world until COVID-19 hit. It was during lockdown that I became interested in learning how to sew so I could create costumes to empower my performances. I started making my own video dances and films. Now, I am not only a musician and a performer, but I am also a costume-maker and set designer.

I came to this degree as a mature student having done a Higher Education access course, and chose to study at UWTSD Swansea because its Film & TV course is ranked the best in Wales. My main creative passion is writing and I intend to use the skills that I develop in this degree to become a screenwriter when I graduate.
