Hi everyone, I’m Nathania! I went to state schools in Southend and East London, and I am now studying a mix of English, Spanish and Criminology/ Sociology at Durham. I have alot of interests (clearly!) and Liberal Arts at Durham allowed me to study basically all of them! I will be heading to Spain for my Year Abroad as part of my degree next year, hoping to get some writing experience and I hope to go into journalism after university!

BA Economics (L100)
I am a first year Economics student in Stephenson College at Durham University. I am originally from Portugal, although I moved to Manchester when I was 6 years old with my parents and twin brother. My brother and I are the first in our family to go to uni so being at Durham has been a really great experience!!!
I am a member of my college's badminton team, as well as the bookkeeper for my college's JCR so I really like getting involved with events at college level although in general I love trying new things at uni.

BA History (V100)
I come from the town of West Bridgford outside Nottingham in the East Midlands. I am half Indian, quarter Welsh, quarter German. I attended a state school, studying Law, Economics and History for A Level. My passion for all things history led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in it at Durham University. I'm currently undecided as to my career plans, but I'm considering either going into academia, the civil service, or journalism.

BSc Geography (F800)
I am a first year undergraduate Geography student apart of John Snow College. I grew up in a small rural village and therefore know what its like moving to a city from a place with poor connectivity. I enjoy running, cooking and being in the outdoors but am also someone who enjoys a cosy night in! I like to meet new people, explore new places and learn about different cultures. My top activity is visiting a cafe with friends. I am apart of a number of different society, both within my college and university wide, such as DU coffee society and John Snow Running Society.
My favourite area of geography is where physical and human geography intersect. Despite not knowing the direct career path I wish to take, my goal is to work in a job where I am helping others, either through interaction with individuals or policy-making.
I am a very giving and open person, and am always happy to help!
