Hello, I'm Maira! I'm a 2nd-year medical student at Swansea University, having moved here from Greece three years ago. With a degree in Medical Genetics, I'm deeply interested in the intersection of genetics and medicine and I'am currently involved in medical education research. Outside my studies, I am a Senior Student Ambassador for the university, and I'm passionate about travel, scuba diving, books, and theatre. At home, I'm kept company by a dog and five cats. My goal is to pursue a career in academic medicine. Excited to connect here and answer any questions you may have! Let's chat!

Megan
Bangor University
Medicine
Hi, I'm a first-year medical student at Bangor University, and although I didn't initially plan to come here, I am so grateful to receive an offer through clearing, as it not only enabled me to study medicine, it also allowed me to study in a picturesque setting - surrounded by the mountains of Snowdonia and the many surrounding beaches of Anglesey and Llandudno - which ensure that there is always something exciting to do outdoors. I'm also really into running, and there is nothing quite like going for a jog surrounded by the beautiful coastal and mountain views that make this place so special. Outside of my degree, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved, and I'm currently the BMA representative for the North Wales Medical School.

I am a 4th year Graduate Entry Medicine Student and I also did my Bsc in Medical Pharmacology at Swansea. I love dance, aerial sports and cheerleading, it has been a great experience so far. There are a lot of different areas of Swansea that can be explored. I was born in America but have done GCSE and A-levels in the United Kingdom. I have various jobs connected to the university such as Student Ambassador. The Medical Pharmacology course was a great and engaging experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

After I've completed my degree, I have an interest in pediatrics , however, I'm still very uncertain at this stage- (let's hope I survive my exams first..)

Hi! I started at Reading in 2021 and have loved every minute! Transitioning straight from sixth form to uni definitely felt like a big step but knowing other people were in the same boat as me was very reassuring. I moved here from a small town and now love the mixture of beautiful campus and bustling town centre. Helping others has always been a passion of mine so doing a course which works towards a career dedicated to this is super rewarding, and I would love to work with children in the future.
