Literature and Creative Writing

3rd year English Literature student currently finishing my studies at UEA and set to begin  my MA in Archiving at UCL next year. Working towards a career in Archiving and Record Preservation. 
Particularly interests in Critical Theory and philosophy. Passionate about exploring the intersections between literature, politics, music, visual art and our collective histories. The written word is not dead or static but full of life which it gives to us, which is why I feel the study of Literature is so significant.
I also enjoy creative writing as a way of developing my passion for reading, and enjoying an appreciation for my favourite books which is interactive and participatory.
In my spare time I boulder at Rock Punk Climbing Cafe, located on Magdalen Street in Norwich, and Highball Climbing Centre, just a bus ride away from the City Centre. I love the element of problem solving involved in completing difficult routes and  advancing towards harder challenges with a renewed set of physical and mental skills.
I also find that Climbing is a sport that has helped me immensely around difficulties stemming from complete blindness in my left eye, such as strengthening depth perception and hand eye coordination. It is something I'd recommend very highly to anyone with impaired eye-sight (and everyone else too!)
I am also well acquainted with the DSA process by virtue of my blindness so please do message me if you're curious or facing any troubles with regard to disability allowance and support!
I have also skateboarded for a number of years and enjoy a street skate sesh or a trip to Eaton Park whenever I can :)

I'm a postgraduate law student, doing my International Law LLM at University of Glasgow, I have also got my Common Law LLB degree last June from the same university, so I have been here for a long time :)) I am hoping to specialise in women's rights and gender equality. I'm from Turkey and this is my fifth year in Glasgow and in UofG :) 

I have been dancing and acting since I was a kid. So, I have been very involved in performing arts for so many years and I am super lucky to be still doing that in university. I loveeeee meeting new people, attending social events, spending time with my friends, and always finding something fun to do in Glasgow with my loved ones (as a wee Covid fresher in my undergrad, I am happy that I am finally having a normal freshers week for my postgrad)!! My dream has always been to dance for the Royal Ballet. I am a very sporty person, I used to represent England in Karate where I won the title of World Champion and European Champion on many occasions. Since coming to uni I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and try cheerleading, I am now Chair of the Cheer team and I am a level 2 flyer. I have recently been re-elected as committee for BNU Swans Cheer where I will take on the role of Captain and Treasurer! I have danced since I was 2 and my favourite styles are ballet and jazz.
