Hi! My name is Janelle and I am a final year student studying International Hospitality and Tourism Management (BSc). What I enjoy most about this course has to be experience sharing from seasoned professionals within the industry, whether it be from our professors or guest lecturers. Before university, I studied Biology, Psychology and Chinese A Level. I have a strong interest in Psychology and plan to take a masters (conversion) in Psychology after graduating! Outside of academics I like to casually take photos, listen to music, visit museums and meet new people! :)

I am a final-year Mechanical Engineering student with a strong passion for sustainability, clean energy, and material science. My career ambition is to contribute to innovative projects within the energy or aerospace sectors, driving advancements in engineering that focus on a sustainable future. I have experience in quality and manufacturing from my placement at Stellantis, as well as hands-on projects involving hydrogen embrittlement and clean energy technologies. I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals and companies that value the future of renewable energy and technological progress.

I grew up in a vibrant city along the Yangtze River in central-southern China, where I developed a strong interest in finance and technology. After earning my degree in Accounting, I worked at China Merchants Bank, the largest joint-stock commercial bank in China, gaining experience in fintech, credit analysis, and risk assessment.

Now, as a postgraduate student at Warwick Business School, I am exploring the intersection of digital innovation, AI, and business transformation. I am particularly passionate about AI-generated visuals and AI voice synthesis, having followed the field since the early Disco Diffusion era. I also love exploring emerging technologies and own VR devices, AR equipment, and AI-powered smart glasses, constantly experimenting with new innovations.

Beyond technology, I am a poetry enthusiast, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, William Blake, and Percy Bysshe Shelley. Their works fuel my creativity and curiosity.

Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career at the intersection of AI, fintech, and digital transformation, leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation in business. I’m Sammam Junaid Efti from Bangladesh, currently in my second year of LLB. As the President of the City St. Georges Bengali Legal Network and an Events Ambassador and Program Representative, I’m deeply involved in student leadership and community-building. My favourite areas of study are Criminal Law and Contract Law, where I love exploring the complexities of justice and legal relationships. Outside of academics, I’m an avid reader and enjoy singing whenever I get the chance; it’s a great way for me to unwind and stay creative.
