Hello I'm Gemma and I am in my first year at Southampton Solent University studying BA (Hons) Sports Journalism.  

In the future I would love to be working in the press box for my favourite teams and the fact that I can get paid for it excites me so much! 

My start to uni life has been a bit different than normal as I came with a broken knee but have settled in very well and met some of the best people :) 

I would love to share my experience with any new starters and give some advice to help with your journey!!

Hi, I’m Joel and I am in my second-year on the BA (Hons) Education course. I aspire to be a secondary school teacher in the future, teaching the next generation! I previously was on the BA (Hons) Sports Journalism course before moving to education. I love football, supporting Watford FC, and F1, and race and drift on games in my spare time. Hi! My name is Maddi and I’m currently in my first-year studying BA (Hons) Criminology. After graduating, I aspire to complete a Masters degree in the same subject! I am part of the Solent Equestrian Society, we meet every Wednesday and ride. In my spare time I enjoy PC gaming, reading and journaling. I’m also a massive fan of Harry Potter and Stranger Things! Hello I'm Safia! I am currently in my second year and I study BA (Hons) Social Work. After I graduate, my goal is to become a social worker. As a mother, I have gained valuable experience in caregiving which I believe will be beneficial in my future profession. Additionally, I have volunteered at schools and various groups to further enhance my skills and knowledge in this field. I am looking forward to pursuing my passion and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

BA (Hons) Television Production

Hi, I'm Spencer, a third-year BA (Hons) Television Production student. My favourite module so far is Studio Production and for this reason, when I graduate, I would like to work in live television. This year I had the opportunity to work at Camp Bestival, Dorset as a Graphics Operator which was a really rewarding experience. 
When I'm not studying, I'm busy working backstage at the local theatre as a technician on all of the big shows that come through on tour. In my spare time, I attend swim training with the CSSC Masters to keep up my exercise.
