Student life

The community of Cliff College has a regular rhythm of life, which spans our daily activities through to termly and annual events. We gather regularly for prayer and worship, as well as to spend time getting to know each other socially.

Students, staff, and the wider Cliff community are invited to come together on weekday mornings for prayers. Wednesday is our community day, with our Celebration service in the College Chapel.

Both morning prayers and our weekly Celebration are available in person or can be streamed via Facebook / YouTube.

Campus and facilities

We try to get together as a community on campus most days, gathering for coffee each weekday and sometimes cake if we’re lucky!

Outside of the routines of study, the College offers a mixture of student-led and College-organised activities open to all students. These include walks, video game tournaments, board game nights, pub quizzes, film evenings, salsa nights and Murder Mystery events!

The Peak District is famous for its amazing walks and challenging climbing locations as well as outdoor swimming,, such as at Hathersage swimming pool.  Nearby coffee shops, cafés and pubs are perfect for catching up with visitors, or as a very good reason to get off campus!

Nearby tourist attractions include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the historic town of Bakewell. Chesterfield (20 minutes away) and Sheffield (30 minutes away) are great spots for shopping, cinema trips and nights out, as well as for activities like indoor climbing and theatre shows.
