Courses

The University has six academic schools: Applied Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Huddersfield Business School, Computing and Engineering, Education and Professional Development and Human and Health Sciences. There are lots of course choices available to you. You might want to mix it up with a course that combines a couple of subjects. And you probably want to make yourself as employable as possible by getting work experience. Lots of our courses offer placement years in the UK or overseas, giving you the chance to get out into the real world and experience employment.

If you study full-time, a normal Bachelor’s degree takes three years. If you take up a work placement or ‘sandwich’ year, your course would usually take four years in total.

You can also combine undergraduate and postgraduate study for some courses. Our integrated Master’s degrees last four years or five if you spend a year on placement.
