Data and analysis over Confirmation and Clearing 2018

We know provision of data and analysis over C&C is important to you, so this year, we’ll be providing the most extensive reporting we’ve ever done.

Posted Wed 25 July 2018

The core public reporting (available on ucas.com on 7 August, and from 16 – 31 August) has been expanded to include further statistics – POLAR4 and ethnicity, at a sector level.

We’re also expanding the daily provider-specific reports, available through MOVEit. For the first time, we’ll help you understand behaviour around release into Clearing requests, by sharing a report which shows the following at sector-level:

  • The number of applicants placed at one provider on A level results day, who have gone on to be placed at another.
  • The number of applicants placed at one provider on A level results day, who are no longer placed at that provider (including those who are unplaced, and holding an offer following a release).

This report will first be available on Friday 17 August, then every weekday until 13 September.

As in previous cycles, you’ll also receive reports, specific to your provider, broken down by age, sex, country of domicile, region, POLAR3, POLAR4, subject, and A level qualifications, every weekday between A level results day and 13 September.

Scottish providers

For Scottish providers, we’re also providing a report which shows, at sector level:

  • the number of applicants placed at one provider on SQA level results day, who have gone on to be placed at another
  • the number of applicants placed at one provider on SQA level results day, who are no longer placed at that provider (including those who are unplaced, and holding an offer following a release)

This report will first be available on Wednesday 8 August, and then every weekday until 15 August.

You’ll also receive reports, specific to your provider, broken down by POLAR3, POLAR4, SIMD 2016, and subject, every weekday between SQA results day and 15 August. You'll then receive the reports described above every weekday, between A level results day and 13 September.
