The HESA QUALTYPE values are different to the above exam levels. The current HESA codes are 4U, 4V, 4W, 4X, 4Y, 4Z, and 5A, respectively.
HESA has confirmed it will update the HESA QUALTYPE to align with the UCAS exam level codes as above, and will amend the following to reflect these changes:
- HESA will change QUALTYPE 4U, 4V, 4W, 4X, 4Y, 4Z, and 5A from C17051 to the UCAS exam level codes, by the end of January.
- HESA will publish the C17054 coding manual in line with the above changes, by the end of January.
- HESA will reflect these changes in the XTPOINTS derived field and appendices, by the end of February.
