UCAS teams are responsible for receiving, checking, and matching all results from awarding bodies – a process that runs throughout the year:
- January to May – winter results are received
- July to October – summer results are received
Preparing for the summer results:
- In February, we told you that previous results were reloaded and matched against any new applicants.
- From early May, we began processing presentation files from the main awarding bodies and other smaller awarding bodies. These files contain details of those people who registered to sit the summer exams.
There are no results at this stage, but by matching these details against our own records now, we speed up the process of matching the summer results when they are available. The presentation files are refreshed again in July to pick up details of any late applicants.
We’ve produced an infographic highlighting the different activities; receiving, processing, and releasing of data which takes place throughout the year.
The following is a summary of when we expect to be able to make results available to you. It is based on the assumption that all UCAS systems are performing as planned and we receive results files from awarding bodies:
We will keep you updated on how these plans are progressing in the weekly bulletins and details will also be available in the providers section of ucas.com.
If you have any questions regarding the processing of the summer results, please contact the ABL team.
