In support of the Unistats record collected by HESA for 2017/18, we’ve made a set of data available which includes codes for the provider, the programmes, and the courses required by HESA.

FAQs to help you access the data

Where in the collection tool can I find my UKPRN, UCASCOURSEID, and UCASPROGID?
We can provide you with a report containing the required codes for courses with start dates between 1 August 2018 and 31 July 2019. This report will be made available via your MOVEit account, and refreshed every Monday morning.

Where can I find my sign in details for MOVEit?
You can request these by phoning the HEP Team on 0344 984 1111, or raising a ticket through our ServiceNow portal.

What is the title of my KIS report?
*Your Provider Code*_KIS17-1.CSV

Where can I find a guide to MOVEit?
You can view all our guides on the System guides web page.

Why isn’t my report showing in MOVEit?
If you haven’t done so before, you’ll need to request the report to be generated and loaded into your MOVEit account. To request the report, raise a ticket through our ServiceNow portal, or phone the HEP Team on 0344 984 1111.

Are my 2018 ID codes the same as my 2017 ID codes?
No, UCASCOURSEID and UCASPROGID codes are system generated. The codes for your 2018 courses will be different, as the collection tool is a new system.

Why is one of my courses missing from the report?
Courses must be published and open for application in the collection tool. If you need help doing this, please phone the Data Collection Team on 01242 544 864.
