Opening times
17 October 2026 - 09:00 to 16:00As part of our Open Day you can:
- - Tour our campus and accommodation
- - Chat to department staff and visit our faculty hubs to join in with interactive activities and learn more about your subjects of interest.
- - Find out what lectures are really like by booking onto some taster talks and practical workshops
- - Get advice on applications, entry requirements, funding and student support
- - Meet our Students’ Union and find out more about clubs and societies you can get involved in
We’ll have lots of fun stuff to get involved in too… think seasonal mocktails and music, plus some free Essex merch!

Sat 15 August 2026 - 10:00The Clearing Open Day is held at our Colchester campus on Saturday 15 August.
Attending an Open Day will give you a chance to get to know Essex if you haven’t visited us yet (or if you’ve been to see us already and just fancy another look around).
On the day, you’ll be able to see our accommodation, get a tour of campus including our commuter specific spaces and facilities, meet some of our academics, chat to current students and student services.
Please make sure you check-in when you arrive – you’ll even get a goody bag! Check-in opens at 10am and the day ends at 2pm so there is plenty of time to explore.
