    Hi! I’m Benjamin, and I’m currently studying BA (Hons) Architectural Design and Technology at Southampton Solent University. I’m passionate about design, urban planning, and how architecture shapes our daily lives. I decided to study architecture because I’ve always been fascinated by buildings, spaces, and the way environments can influence people’s experiences. The creative and technical aspects of the field draw me in, and I love the challenge of merging functionality with aesthetics. At Solent, I’m exploring everything from architectural theory to hands-on design projects. We get to work with both traditional and digital tools, and the program offers a great balance of studio work and technical learning. So far, I’ve worked on some exciting projects. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about my course area or Solent generally.

    If you’re applying for architecture, planning or building, admissions tutors say they need you to outline your reasons for wanting to study the course. Here’s how you do it. The built environment encompasses lots of courses and professions. As the University of Nottingham puts it, you need to 'be as specific as possible about your interests and enthusiasms'.
