    Hello, I’m Shiam Rahman, and I’m currently studying Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Brunel University. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by electronic devices and how they work. Electrical engineering is like the "black magic" of engineering—it’s all happening behind the scenes, and yet, every little interaction, like the click of a button, is the result of someone’s design and innovation. I’m excited to dive deeper into how these systems work and, one day, be part of the tech industry that shapes our future. Beyond engineering, I have a strong passion for art and design. I love drawing and painting people, and I also have skills in graphic design, image manipulation, and animation. My creative side really complements my technical interests, and I enjoy finding ways to blend the two. At Brunel, I also work as a Student Recruitment and Widening Access Ambassador. It’s such a rewarding experience, and I love being part of a community that is all about supporting each other.     I’m a French electrician and engineer passionate about innovation in energy systems. My career began in Luxembourg and Belgium, where I worked as an electrician, before relocating to Scotland in 2009. I continued my trade in Scotland before pursuing further education, achieving an HNC and HND in Electrical Engineering at Glasgow Clyde College. Beyond work, I’m an avid F1 and rugby union fan and love travelling Scotland on my motorbike. I also have a deep appreciation for exploring new cultures around the world. Currently, I’m focused on the transformative challenges of electrical energy production and consumption. I’m particularly driven by the goal of decarbonising the grid by 2050, aiming to play a role in shaping a more sustainable energy future.

My industrial placement project involves research and development in automated datapoint collection for visible light positioning systems that utilizes machine learning for increased accuracy for 5G & 6G applications. In Sept 25' I will continue my studies and once I have completed my undergraduate I aspire to become a PhD candidate at the DSP Centre to continue researching in the field of Visible Light Communications & Positioning technologies. Facts: - Parent of three girls. - Motorcycle enthusiast. - Lover of all genre's of music. - M*A*S*H 4077th is my favorite TV show. - Megadeth & Ghost are my two favorite bands. - Final Fantasy VII favorite game, arguably Resident Evil 2 is a closed 2nd.

    Hello there! I'm Carolina, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin in Italy, and I also pursued a Master’s in Advanced Architectural Design at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Strathclyde. These academic experiences, along with my current PhD studies, have fueled my interest and knowledge in Academic Skills. For me, being an architect means more than just working with blueprints on a screen. It's about delving into all the stages of a project, considering the surroundings, their history, and the people who will live there. I never tire of investigating problems and searching for the best solutions. My educational journey, combined with my extracurricular experiences, has ignited a special passion for languages, particularly English, Spanish, and German. Learning these languages has broadened my horizons, allowing me to better understand and appreciate diverse cultures and traditions. Thanks to my academic pursuits and my background in extracurricular activities, I've honed my ability to connect with people and communicate ideas clearly. On a more personal note, I adore cooking, traveling, photography, watching sports, and staying active by participating in various sports.

    Hi! I’m Hannah, a second-year student studying Neural Engineering with Psychology. My degree isn’t one that’s very well known but I love it. It combines Psychology, Engineering and Computer Science. In my next couple of years, I will cover areas like working with prosthetics, AI and brain computer-interfaces. I mostly work in the CSEE department so I can answer questions about other courses as well. Outside of university I like to listen to music and I’m trying to get back into the gym.
