University of SurreyVeterinary Medicine and Science BVMSci (Hons)Hi my name is Beth! I am second year veterinary medicine student. I have a lot of ideas for my future as a qualified vet and I have not yet decided which path I want to take. I would love to work with various charities in different countries around the world, but i also love the idea of working in a mixed practice with both farm and small animals. I have also become more interested in the idea of working in emergency practice or end of life care. I like staying active in various ways, I love climbing and football and have also learned to scuba dive with the society and university. I love walking by dogs and hanging out with friends on the weekend for a coffee or a few drinks at the pub! I'm happy to answer any questions you have :) Beth

University of EssexMathematicsMy name is Kimaro Novat Kairuntu, a PhD student at the University of Essex in the UK. My educational background is a blend of economics and mathematics, with a Bachelor’s degree in these disciplines. I advanced my expertise by earning an MSc in Applied Mathematics, where I deepened my understanding of complex mathematical concepts and their real-world applications. Currently, my PhD research focuses on financial derivatives, a field that combines my passion for mathematical modeling with practical financial applications. Looking ahead, my career plans involve advancing the intersection of applied mathematics and finance, particularly in financial derivatives. My educational journey and professional experiences have provided me with a strong foundation to contribute meaningfully to both academia and industry. I am eager to develop innovative research and practical solutions that address financial challenges. My passion lies in the intricate domain of financial derivatives, where applied mathematics is essential for creating models that predict market behavior and manage financial risk. I am particularly drawn to how mathematical theories can be transformed into tools that enhance decision-making in the financial industry. This passion drives my research and fuels my ambition to bridge the gap between theoretical mathematics and practical finance. Nathan
University of GlasgowLaw (Scots Law LLB)I'm a third year student studying Scots Law and Politics. I have worked through my whole degree as well. In my spare time, I care for my family and love sports, music, reading and socialising with my friends.
